Billy Otis

BILLY OTIS is a "musician's musician" — he works hard and plays hard. Songwriting is his heart and soul ... he shoots for the stars and never lets anything get in his way.

With three full-length CDs and two EP's under his belt, Billy hits the ground running once again with his follow up to his recent release, "Sowing Wild Otis." This CD charted at #70 on The Americana Music Radio Play List.

Billy's latest offering is called "On My Street" and it's currently receiving airplay and great reviews. Here's what Jess Marich of Nashville's Shake Magazine writes:

"This new CD by Virginia bluesman Billy F. Otis takes him in a new direction. Recorded in Nashville at Elliot Houser's Studio East, this collection was produced and arranged by the multi-talented Walter Egan. Walter is the guitarist as well. He brought his Walternative band in to give the music their special touch. Billy's star appears to be rising. The songs are solid and the vibe is ever so cool."

Billy was included in The Washingtonian Magazine's annual list of "Bands To Watch Out For."

When asked about his career highlights to date, Billy responds with a modest grin, "I can honestly say that the greatest gig I ever played was the Washington Post sponsored performance at the Carter Baron Amphitheatre – all 3,000 seats were full!"
"Billy Otis is a roots musician in all the best senses of the phrase – from his downhome singing and songwriting to his earthy harp solos. Keep an ear out for this guy." William Triplett, Contributing Editor, The Washingtonian Magazine
